A three day workshop to deliberate on findings from the nation-wide capacity needs assessment on Liberia’s preparedness to address natural disaster commenced yesterday at the Monrovia YMCA Building on Broad.

USAID-Liberia Mission Director Pamela White will on Thursday, July 30 hand over to the Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Walter Gwenigale, 15 new vehicles for the use of the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (MOHSW). The event will take place on the grounds of the JFK Hospital complex at 1pm.

The Barclay Training Center (BTC) will be handed back to the Government of Liberia on July 31, 2009 at a ceremony attended by the Minister for National Defense and the United States Ambassador after four years of management by the US State Department- funded Security Sector Reform (SSR) Program for the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL).
