Jawhary recently laid wreath on the remains of his late wife, Madam Omaya Jawhary in Houston, Texas, the United States of America. The late Omaya Jawhary, according to reports, died on February 11, 2009 of heart failure few days after the Supreme Court ruled against the Holiday Inn Hotel in a case involving Cllr. James A.A. The 84 year old catholic prelate said corruption in both private and public sectors, selfishness, greed and lack of patriotism are the root causes of poverty the country is experiencing.
