THE CHIEF OF office staff and Minister of state for presidential Affairs has resigned following his alleged involvement in a sex scandal.
MINISTER KNUCKLES’ RESIGNATION came following pressure from the public that he resigns because of his “admission” that he was the figure in the pornographic photo published recently by a local newspaper
IN A STATEMENT to the nation last night, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf said she regrets the resignation of Minister Knuckles, but noted that she is prone to upholding the high moral standard of the society.
THE RESIGNATION OF one of the highest minister of government over his involvement in immoral act is very important for our young democracy.
IMMORALITY, LIKE CORRUPTION is a social cancer devastating the social fabric of the Liberian society.
WE KNOW FOR sure that Mr. Knuckles is not the only one involved in this high level of indecency.
THE UNTIMELY RESIGNATION of Minister Knuckles should serve as both a lesson and precedence for many Liberians and non-Liberians involved in immoral acts and corrupt practices.
MEANWHILE, WE ARE calling on the government to ensure that the resignation of the minister is followed by a thorough investigation of the alleged sex scandal and the publication of the pornographic photo.
