Many Christians Are Robbing God Rev. Samuel Greene
Published on July 28, 2008Email To Friend    Print Version

A Baptist Pastor says many Christians are engaged in robbing God of what belongs to him.
Rev. Samuel J. Greene said Christians have failed to pay their tithe to God which is an obligation.
He said Christians who refuse to pay ten percent of their earnings to the Church they attend are stealing what belongs to God and are bound to face consequences for their actions.
Rev. Greene was speaking Sunday when he delivered a sermon at the Church where hundreds of worshippers had gathered for service.
Drawing his text from the New Testament book of Second Corinthians Chapter nine verses one to ten, Rev Green used “How Can We Please God With Our Giving,” as team of his sermon.
“Many of us in here are robbers of God. We rob Him daily of our tithes, our offerings and our services. We feel that the 10 percent is too much for us to give to God who is the provider of all our needs….” The Baptist prelate noted.
When we refuse to tithe, we are meaning ourselves indirectly instead of God, the Man of God warned.
Rev. Greene said “no on is too poor to give to the works of God because He provides for us everyday, solves our problems.
“God expects us to give what we have and not what we don’t have, He wants us give with willing hearts, cheerfully and with the right spirit.”
Besides our regular tithe that we need to bring to the store house of God, the Preacher man said God needs our services most, noting Giving that pleases God must begin with giving of self.”
