FPAL Dedicates Youth Clinic In Buchanan

The Family Planning Association of Liberia (FPAL), a leading non-Government
organization in the area of sexual and reproductive health &rights (SRH&R) opens and dedicates its youth clinic in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County tomorrow Friday, May 29, 2009
According to a release, the Clinic is expected to address the sexual and reproductive health needs of the youthful population of Buchanan city and its surroundings. The clinic will also be a great help to the entire county.
The release notes that the renovation of the clinic was done by the Family Planning Association of Liberia in collaboration with the United Nations for Population Fund (UNFPA) and the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF).The youth clinic is valued at over nine thousand United States dollars.
The release further states, that the United Nations for Population Fund (UNFPA) is one of the major donors for the Family Planning Association of Liberia. It is currently providing funds for the implementation of sexual and
reproductive health, HIV /AIDS and other services in seven counties,
In a related development, the parent body of the Family Planning Association of Liberia, the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) has donated a new Nissan Pick- up valued at thirty eight thousand seventy -five united states dollars ($38.075USD) to the association to enhance the provision of quality sexual and reproductive health and rights, HIV/AIDS prevention, information and services through out the country, the release signed by its Executive Director Miatta K. Kiawu said.
