ZRTTI Hosts Second Post War Graduation -Puts Out 258 Teachers
Published on July 14, 2010Email To Friend    Print Version

The Zorzor Rural Teacher Training Institute (ZRTTI) in Lofa County has held its second post war graduation exercises, with the Vice President of Liberia Joseph Nyumah Boakai pledging government's total support to education.
About 258 pre-service graduates received “C” Certificate, licensing them to go out and teach and help fill the teacher's gap the country faces.
The graduates who are from Nimba, Bong, Lofa and Rivercess Counties were
awarded certificates and accredited after completing the one-year training program the institute offers.
Vice President Boakai, speaking during the occasion, said the Unity Party-led Government is committed to the education and empowerment of its citizens, noting that education is a key aspect of Government's Poverty Reduction Strategy, otherwise known as the “Lift Liberia” initiative.
He emphasized that it is in line with its firm conviction that education is the cornerstone of the success of any nation that government has put education at the top of its agenda.
