|Commerce Ministry Clarifies Report On Rotten Rice|

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry's attention has been drawn to the new Dawn Newspaper, volume 2, February 25, 2011 edition, under the captioned, "EPA Unaware of Rotten Rice."
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry wishes to clarified that contrary to recent report by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that it the agency is not aware of issue surrounding arrival of some 25,000 metric tons of butter rice, the agency is indeed aware and has seconded Mr. Jonathan W. Davis, Outstation Manager to work along with Commerce Ministry technicians to test the rice.
According to a Ministry of Commence press release, Minister Miata Beysolow confirmed that she immediately communicated with the Director of EPA after which the Outstation Manager was assigned to work with the Director of standards, Mohammed W. Turay, of Commerce Ministry to do analysis of the rice. The Minister expressed dismay over the report and asked that the report be corrected.
