For the second time in two years, the Gender Based Violence (GBV) Program of the International Rescue Committee has launched another weeklong Male Involvement (MIP) campaign in solidarity with men’s action groups in communities in Nimba, Lofa and Montserrado Counties. In June 2007, the IRC formally launched its Male Involvement Program and began establishing men’s groups to work side by side with their female counterparts. Since then, a total of 23- men’s groups have been formed in Lofa, Nimba and Montserrado Counties, while the program continues to enlist more men in a bid to broaden their participation in GBV activities in all 44-IRC/GBV supported communities in the three counties.

The Liberia Media Center yesterday submitted its second findings of Transitional Justice Reporting audit of Media Institution covering the TRC and Charles Taylor trial in the Hague. In its findings submitted during the period under review, the Liberia Media Center maintained that it has monitored eight (8) media institutions including the Heritage Newspaper, Democrat Newspaper, the Analyst, the Chronicle, the News, the Observer, Star Radio and Truth FM.
