The Liberia National Commission on Small Arms (LiNCSA) has expressed deep concerned about the discovery of huge quantities of weapons and ammunitions in Glarro District, River Gee County.
The weapons are believed to have been brought into the country from neighboring Cote d'lvoire by unscrupulous elements with motives yet to be established, a statement from LiNCSA claimed.
“LiNCSA strongly condemns those who are responsible for the illegal and criminal arms flow into Liberia,” the statement signed by Mrs. Vivian D. Dogbey said.

Liberian children joined others around the world to celebrate the Day of the African Child (DAC). An elaborate programme was hosted by the UN Mission in Liberia (UNMIL) in partnership with the Liberian Government, UNICEF and other partners. The Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary General for the Rule of Law, Ms. Henrietta Mensa-Bonsu, UNMIL Force Commander, Major General Muhammad Khalid and Liberia's Information, Culture and Tourism Minister, Hon. Cletus Sieh joined over 70 children from five orphanages in Liberia's capital, Monrovia, and were treated to an exciting time of quizzes, poetry, drawing, singing and spelling competitions, as well as joke filled plays and tasty party fare.
